Abwenzi Frivillig Forening has a youth group which organizes workshops, social activities, awareness, education, skills training, and youth cultural exchange program between Denmark and Zambia.
Some of the youths in these rural areas of Zambia are facing challenges of early marriages and early pregnancies which negatively affects rural community development. The aim is to grant the youths from these areas an opportunity to visit Denmark, in order for them to learn entrepreneurship and innovative ideas that can contribute to rural community development in Zambia. Whereas the Danish youths will have an opportunity to visit Zambia, live with Zambian families, and learn more about them and vice versa.
Applicants will be required to pay a facilitation fee. Thereafter, they will be invited for an assessment. This program will provide an evaluation of the youth programs that are undertaken in Zambia.
The Abwenzi Frivillig Forening youth program works in conjunction with FUN Denmark. Application is open all year round for the exchange program.
