One of the overall objectives for the Abwenzi Frivillig Forening is to contribute to sustainable growth for Zambia with a focus on people’s ability to improve basic health for women, youths, children and children with disabilities, as the main target groups. With a focus on results in the following areas:
- Health care in Zambia, is facing major challenges in both primary and secondary care. In primary health care, there is a lack of First Aid equipment and transportation for Traditional Birth Attendants to help the local women during childbirth. In secondary health care, there is lack of hospital equipment, long-distance access to health services, limited access to information on sexual reproductive rights, HIV/AIDS, malaria, cancer, malnutrition, and prevention of unwanted pregnancies among women and girl children.
- Abwenzi Frivillig Forening aims to contribute towards improving women and children’s basic health and safety in rural areas. By organizing possible resources through donations and support from well-wishers and business houses.
