Exhibition Showcasing Youth Farmer Empowerment Project

FUN–AFF is pleased to announce a public exhibition highlighting the outcomes and key learnings from our pilot project “Addressing the Lack of Understanding on the Issue of Exploitation and Unfair Deals Among Rural Young Farmers.”The exhibition will take place on 14 March 2026 at Odense Library and is open to the public.

As part of this engagement activity, we are honored to welcome two representatives from Zambia:

Rabecca Mwanza - AWA Chairperson
Esau Sakala - Project Coordinator

Their visit marks an important moment in our international partnership and provides a unique opportunity for direct exchange between local audiences in Denmark and community-based actors working on the ground in Zambia.

What to Expect at the Exhibition

The exhibition will present:

  • An introduction to FUN–AFF and AWA and the partnership between the two organizations

  • Visual displays and photo documentation from the project activities in rural Zambia

  • Stories and reflections from youth farmers who participated in the pilot project

  • Insights into challenges faced by young farmers, including exploitation, access to markets, and climate-related issues

  • Reflections on youth leadership, village banking initiatives, and community engagement

Rebecca Mwanza and Esau Sakala will share firsthand experiences from the project, offering perspectives on youth empowerment, community collaboration, and the importance of fair agricultural practices. Visitors will have the opportunity to engage in dialogue, ask questions, and learn more about how international partnerships can contribute to sustainable development.

Why This Exhibition Matters

This exhibition serves as a platform to:

  • Share project results and lessons learned with a wider audience

  • Strengthen awareness of the realities faced by rural young farmers

  • Highlight the role of youth, women, and local leadership in driving change

  • Build connections between communities in Denmark and Zambia

While the pilot project is coming to a close, this exhibition represents a continuation of the learning and engagement process and sets the stage for future collaboration and potential scale-up of the initiative.
